It takes about 24-48 hours for IRS and California Franchise Tax Board to review your tax return. During the processing period, there is no need to call us to check on your return status.
APPROVED
In most cases, it takes about 21 calendar days or less for IRS to issue refund. We WILL NOT call you if your return is being approved. To check your refund status, please visit www.irs.gov/refunds.
REJECTED
One of our VITA Team members will reach out to you via e-mail and calls for additional information. We will provide further instructions to you and assist you with the process. It is imperative that taxpayer(s) respond in a timely matter. It is expected that taxpayer(s) respond to any communication efforts by the CSC VITA staff within two business days of receipt of a call or email.
